Website & online sales terms

Terms for using this website and buying from Archery IT (Pty) Ltd.

1. Supplier information (ECTA section 43)

  • Full name and legal status: Archery IT (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa (registration no. 2022/362767/07), VAT no. 4950305047.
  • Physical address for receipt of legal service: 9 Weseinde Street, Moorreesburg, Western Cape, 7310.
  • Telephone +27 72 969 9974, e-mail admin@archeryit.co.za, website www.archeryit.co.za.

2. Information on this website

Service descriptions explain what we offer in general terms. Outcomes of forensic and investigative work depend on the evidence, devices, access and circumstances of each matter and cannot be guaranteed. Estimates shown by the guided quote are indicative only; a binding price is confirmed only in a formal quotation that you accept.

3. Quotations

Quotations are valid for the period stated on them (default 7 days) and are subject to the payment terms stated, currently: 80% deposit required prior to start of mandate. Balance payable upon completion of mandate. Archery IT terms and conditions apply.

4. Online purchases

Online checkout is not available at the moment: software and services are supplied under a formal quotation. These terms apply to those sales as well.

  • Prices are in South African Rand and VAT is shown at checkout.
  • Payment is processed by PayFast. An order is confirmed only once PayFast has verified the payment to us; a browser confirmation page alone does not confirm payment.
  • Software licences are delivered electronically after payment verification and any required approval, under the software licence terms.
  • Cancellation, cooling-off and refunds are dealt with in section 5.

5. Cancellation, cooling-off and refunds

5.1 Cooling-off for purchases made through this website. If you are an individual buying for your own use through this website, you may cancel the purchase without giving a reason and without penalty within seven days after you receive the goods or, for services, within seven days after the agreement is concluded (ECTA section 44). Tell us by e-mail at admin@archeryit.co.za. The only charge you may have to pay is the direct cost of returning any physical goods.

5.2 When the cooling-off right does not apply. As the law allows, the cooling-off right does not apply to services that began with your agreement before the seven days ended (for example, urgent evidence preservation), to software or work made or configured to your specifications, or to computer software once it has been unsealed by you.

5.3 Cancelling a quoted mandate. You may cancel an accepted quotation or mandate at any time by written notice. We will charge only for work already performed and reasonable costs already incurred up to the date we receive your notice, and refund the balance of any amount you have paid.

5.4 Software that does not work as described. If licensed software does not perform substantially as described, contact us. We will first try to correct the problem or replace the software; if we cannot, we will refund the licence fee and withdraw the licence. This does not limit any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

5.5 How refunds are paid. Refunds are paid within 30 days of cancellation, to the original payment method or by EFT to an account in the payer’s name. When a software purchase is refunded, its licence and download links are withdrawn.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to this website, interfere with its operation, or submit unlawful content. Do not ask us to access accounts or devices you are not lawfully entitled to have examined.

7. Liability

Important: this section limits our liability to you. Please read it carefully.

7.1 No guaranteed outcomes. Forensic, investigative and security work depends on the evidence, devices, systems and access available. We do not guarantee that a person will be identified, that data or funds will be recovered, that evidence will be admitted, or that a system is free of vulnerabilities or malware.

7.2 Limit on our liability. To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from a mandate or purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for that mandate or purchase.

7.3 Indirect loss. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit, business opportunity or data that was not part of the agreed work.

7.4 What these limits do not affect. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or removes any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
