Digital Forensics

File & Media Analysis

Authenticity analysis of images, video and audio, and static or dynamic file analysis.

We examine images and videos for signs of manipulation, synthesis or AI generation, including tampering, metadata anomalies and compression artefacts, using the Archery IT Media Forensics Suite. Audio recordings are examined for signs of editing, splicing, interruption or re-encoding with our in-house Audio Forensic Integrity Analyser (AFIA). We also scan files in a static or dynamic state for malware, misconfiguration and vulnerabilities, using our own developed tools.

Limitations. Analysis reports indicators of manipulation; it cannot prove that a file is authentic or unedited. Re-compressed or re-shared files carry less evidence.

Please don’t upload evidence or send passwords through this website. Once we’ve discussed your matter, we’ll arrange a secure handover with a documented chain of custody. How evidence is handled.

Questions

Can you prove a video or recording is real?

No responsible examiner can prove a file is unedited. We report measured indicators of manipulation and what they mean.
