Evidence handling

How to hand over evidence safely.

Confidential evidence is never accepted through this website’s forms. Here is how we receive devices and files, so their integrity can be shown later.

The procedure

Contact us first

Describe the matter through the guided quote, e-mail or WhatsApp. Don’t send evidence, passwords or recovery phrases at this stage.

Agree the mandate

We confirm scope, your authority to have the evidence examined and how it will be transferred.

Physical devices

Devices are handed over in person, or by a tracked courier we agree, in tamper-evident packaging. A chain-of-custody record is completed at handover.

Digital files

Large or sensitive files are transferred through a secure, access-controlled method that we set up for your matter, with hash values recorded on receipt.

Verification

We record hash values and the condition of items received, and share the record with you.

Before you hand over a device

  • Don’t try to recover or “clean” data yourself; this can overwrite evidence.
  • If a phone may be remotely wiped, ask us whether to enable flight mode; don’t factory-reset it.
  • Keep chargers, cables, memory cards and any linked devices together.
  • Write down when and how you obtained the device and who has handled it.

Never share wallet recovery phrases, private keys or banking passwords with anyone, including us. We do not need them for an investigation.
