Digital Forensics

Computer & Laptop Forensics

Forensic imaging, analysis, early malware detection and data recovery for computers.

Forensic imaging and analysis of desktops, laptops and storage media, including early detection of malware and attack attempts, live monitoring where appropriate, and recovery of data where it is still recoverable.

Who it’s for

  • Legal practitioners and litigation support
  • Employers investigating misconduct or data leakage
  • Organisations responding to a suspected compromise
  • Individuals needing data recovered

What we examine

  • Hard drives, SSDs, USB storage and memory cards
  • User activity, documents, e-mail and browser history
  • Deleted files and file-system artefacts, where recoverable
  • Malware, persistence mechanisms and suspicious activity
  • System and application logs

How an engagement works

Scoping

We agree the questions, the devices in scope and the required output.

Preservation

Storage is imaged with write protection and verified by hash.

Examination

The image is analysed; originals are not altered.

Findings

Results are documented with the method used and their limitations.

What you need

  • Authority to examine the computer or media
  • Physical access to the device, or remote access for live work
  • Any relevant account credentials you are entitled to provide

What you receive

  • Forensic image and hash verification record
  • Recovered files where possible
  • Findings report
  • Malware indicators and recommendations, if found

Limitations. Full-disk encryption, physical damage, overwriting and SSD TRIM behaviour can prevent recovery. Live monitoring is offered only by agreement and where it is lawful.

Please don’t upload evidence or send passwords through this website. Once we’ve discussed your matter, we’ll arrange a secure handover with a documented chain of custody. How evidence is handled.

Questions

Will you change anything on my computer?

Forensic work is done on a verified copy. Where live analysis is unavoidable, we document every step.

Can you recover files from a damaged drive?

Sometimes. We assess the drive first and tell you what is realistic before further costs are incurred.
