Software licence terms

Terms that apply to Archery IT Code Scanner, Archery IT Android Extractor, Archery IT Media Forensics Suite and TRACEWIRE.

Last updated: 22 October 2026.

1. Grant

Archery IT grants the purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on one device (workstation) per licence, for the licence period purchased: 3, 6 or 12 months.

2. Updates and support

Updates and support are included for as long as the licence period is active. To keep using the software, and to continue receiving updates and support, renew the licence before its period ends.

3. Training

Training is provided free of charge with the purchase of six or more licences of the Archery IT Android Extractor or Archery IT Media Forensics Suite. The format and scheduling of training are agreed with you after purchase.

4. Lawful use

The software may only be used where the licensee has lawful authority to examine the devices, data or software concerned. The licensee is responsible for complying with applicable law, including POPIA.

5. Restrictions

No reverse engineering, redistribution, sublicensing or resale except as allowed by law or agreed in writing.

6. Activation and delivery

Licences are issued after payment is verified and any required approval is complete. Delivery is by secure, expiring download link and/or licence instructions sent by e-mail.

Each licence is activated with a licence key bound to the hardware of one computer. To move a licence to another computer, contact Archery IT to have the key re-issued.

7. Warranty and liability

Software that does not perform substantially as described is dealt with under section 5.4 of our website and online sales terms, and our liability is limited as set out in section 7 of those terms.
